Santa Came to Hannah's house

Christmas with Family

Hannah as an angel for our nativity on Christmas Eve. She wouldn't wear the sheet though.
Chris took these pictures of himself. I found them on my camera so I get to put them on the blog!

Making Cookies

Hannah was THRILLED to make cookies with Grandma. She was great at cutting out the shapes and eating the extra dough around the edges.

Jacob: Take 2

Well, Jacob and I came home on Saturday morning. It's been a tough, sleepless few days since he has his days and nights very mixed up. We're working on getting him on a schedule though, so for the past two nights I have gotten more than four hours of sleep a night. Jacob is a very mild little spirit. He only fusses when he's hungry or when we are trying to get him to wake up. We are loving having him around the house and Hannah has made the adjustment really well. The surgery went really well. I've had a harder recovery than I remember last time, but every day is getting better, especially as I get more sleep. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Keep checking for more pictures!

Jacob Brent Luke

Heather, Dustin and Jack came to visit us. This is a comparison of the two little boys. Jack is now 6 weeks old.
Red as red can be.
Hannah was busy writeing letters while she visited little brother in the "hotpistol".
Another view of the red hair.

Hannah was a little nervous to meet Jacob but she warmed up to him and asked to come see him after she went home for a nap. She said, "Go hotpistol see baby Jacob."

Our Luke family photo.

Jacob Brent Luke was born at 7:52am on december 18, 2007 at Bozeman Deconness Hospital. He is 7lb. 3oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. And as you can see has very red hair. Both Camille and Jacob are doing well, in fact the nurses are very impressed with Cami's progress. She is going to get some well earned rest tonight.

Baby Update: It's Time!

I've grown a little person! Babies come in all sizes, though the average newborn is 7 1/2 pounds and 20 inches from head to toe. Everything is ready for our new arrival. The clothes are washed, the cards are out, the presents are wrapped and Grandma Powell has arrived to help. We are very excited to meet our new little one tomorrow morning. Brent and I will be heading to the hospital at 5:30 am to go through all of the preparations and some monitoring of the baby. The c-section is scheduled for 7:30 am and should last about an hour or less. I should only be in recovery for about an hour and then I will be taken to my room. I will most likely be in the hospital until Friday morning. Updates and pictures will be coming soon, although they may not come until I am home. We'll keep you posted. Thank you for the love and support throughout this adventurous journey. We love you all!

The Cook

Every time Mom makes rolls, Hannah has to run and get her rolling pin and "help" me roll them out. As you can see, she does a great job collecting the extra pieces of dough for me. You also get a little glimpse of the baby belly in the last picture. Six more days! C-section at 7:30am on Tuesday morning, the 18th.

Lipstick Girl

Hannah found Mommy's lipstick and was thrilled with herself for putting it all over her face. It's a shiny one that I put over top, so it's hard to see, but it's all over her temples and eyes, cheeks, mouth and chin. Beautiful girl!

Christmas Stockings

We were setting up Christmas last week and Hannah decided to try on our stockings. She got hers and Daddy's on and put Brent's slippers on as well. We had lots of fun putting up the Christmas tree. Hannah has been great at not touching it. Last year we had a half decorated tree, but it looks like this year we'll make it through the holidays with everything still on.
