Movie Night

Hannnah enjoying the fruits of her labor.

Hannah and Mom had a fun evening tonight making cookies and watching a movie. I gave Hannah the cookie with the most chocolate chips and she obviously enjoyed eating it! Hannah is a great helper and loves to help put in the ingredients. Whenever I am making anything, we pull a chair up to the counter so that she can assist Mom in any way possible.

Baby Update

I am now 22 weeks along and I am obviously pregnant. Meaning, that people who were unsure about asking if I was pregnant, can now ask with confidence. I am extremely achy with this pregnancy, and more tired. However, I do not get sick at all and feel that I have no room to complain considering all of those who do get sick. As far as the baby goes, rapid eye movements are beginning. The eyes open and shut frequently, and his eyebrows and eyelashes are present. He is about eleven inches long, weighs one pound, and is moving like crazy.

The Isle's Come to Play

Brandon, Marybeth, William, and Caitlyn Isle (Brent's sister and family) came to visit us for three days this week. The cousins had a great time playing and loved each other so much that they fought too. Sorry for the lack of pictures. Hopefully the Isle's will send us some to show. We had lots of fun and were sad to see them go.

Tuesday
  • The Isle's came into Bozeman at lunch time and we played all afternoon at the house and playground.
  • After dinner we went for a drive in our van (which we all fit into).

Wednesday
  • On Wednesday morning, we went up to MSU campus to feed the ducks. They were very hungry and were eyeing the little one's toes, as they looked like little white pieces of bread.
  • After feeding the ducks, we went to Bogert Park and ate lunch and played on the playground. Caitlyn loved the swings and squealed with delight when her daddy would push her.
  • Before naps we went to the Children's Museum and tired the kids out for an hour.
  • After naps, we had dinner and got dressed to go swimming, only to get there and discover that our local pool was closed. So, we went and got ice cream instead and let the kids play in the tub in their suits before bed.

Thursday

  • We went up Hyalite Canyon and hiked up to Palisade Falls. William loved running down the hill and ended up with band aids on his knees by the time we were done.
  • After the hike we went for pizza at Costco.
  • The Isle's headed back to Idaho.

Hannah's Favorite Things

Hannah Loves to Swing! She asks to go outside every morning and even helps Mom find her shoes so that she can get out even faster.
Hannah loves to collect rocks. Here is the start of her collection THIS day.

The friends who I teach voice lessons for are moving out of the baby stage and kindly gave us this very nice hiking backpack. We tried it out on Saturday and enjoyed a nice cool hike in the mountains around Bozeman.

It's A....

Here is a profile picture of our little BOY! He has his legs bunched up, his left arm by his side and his right arm is up by his face. He weighs about 13 oz, which is about the weight of a can of pop. His length is also about the size of a can of pop (I can't remember how long the tech said that it was).
Here is a blurry picture of his foot. His toes are on the left side.
Here is a forearm and hand.
Here is a good picture of the baby's heart. It is the heart shaped dark spot in the middle.

We don't have any good pictures to show it is a boy, but the tech was 95% sure. From what we saw, this baby looked quite different from when we discovered that Hannah was going to be a girl. We are very excited for this new addition to our family. Hannah is excited to have a brother and is getting really good at saying "brother." When I tell her that I have a baby in my tummy, Hannah takes her baby doll and shoves it up my shirt.
