Baby Update: 25 Weeks

We are doing well! We have a bouncing baby boy, literally, and he makes my tummy roll and roll. During these last weeks, he is gaining weight. He's developed sleeping patterns (and they often have little to do with night and day!) Our little bouncer may be around four and a half pounds right now! Only four more weeks until birth day.

Funny 2 Year Old
Here are some of Hannah's funny things that she has been doing lately.
- She calls Dinosaurs "dinahoars." We went to the Halloween laser show at the museum last weekend and as we drove up, she emphatically called "Dinohoars!"
- Hannah has been pinching our bums and saying "cute bum." I don't like it and I can't really yell at her for it because we do it to her all of the time.
- "Mommy suck, Daddy suck, Hannah suck too!" This is her way of saying that we're stuck in our seat belts in the car. She hates her car seat and that was our only way to get her calmed down about it was by helping her figure out that we were stuck too. She just misses out on saying the "t" of stuck.
- Hannah is great at saying thank you when we go places. We got our flu shots last week and as we were leaving Hannah said "thank you" to the lady who gave us the shots. The nurse about fainted and said "I've NEVER had anyone say thank you after a shot before!"
- She calls the Incredibles the "Daddy movie" (which Brent loves) and has to watch it literally every day.
- About a month ago, she started saying "2 more minutes" when I would say that it was time for a nap or something else that she didn't want to do. It has gradually grown into "3 more minutes" and "5 more minutes."

Baby Update: 33 Weeks

The baby weighs about 4 pounds 5 ounces and his skin has turned from red to pink. He has started preparing for life outside the womb by storing iron in his liver. Momma is still feeling well. It's been fascinating to feel the differences between Hannah and this baby. Now that we know Hannah's personality, her movements make a lot of sense. I've been analyzing this child and trying to figure out what his movements mean. He is constantly kicking my ribs and has even bruised them, what does that mean? A few days ago he had the hiccups and he was very irritated at them. For about a half hour I felt hiccup, kick, hiccup, kick. It was funny for a few minutes, but then .... but hey, we know that he is healthy and doing well.
(Only 6 more weeks until our c-section!)
