Pumpkin Carving

Hannah and Mom carved the cat pumpkin. She was a great helper and loved to pull out the pieces when Mom was done cutting them out. She did not, however, like the feeling of cleaning out the pumpkin. Brent carved the bat and the moon.

Drinking Yogurt

Hannah was thoroughly enjoying her yogurt this morning and decided that it would be even more fun to drink it. She came up for air with a ring of yogurt on her face. It's hard to see, but there is also yogurt on her nose.

Baby Update: 30 Weeks

Our baby boy is packing on the weight now! In the last two weeks, he's gained almost 12 ounces. He's a wrinkled little thing, but getting more "baby-like" by the day. Baby is doing gymnastics in there and Mom is sure feeling it. Momma is doing well, just uncomfortable.

The Last Bottle

It's official, Hannah is free from the bottle. Hannah will not drink milk unless it is in a bottle. The doctor told us to let her keep doing this until she was two. Well, our big girl had a birthday, so we decided that it was time. We pulled out all of her bottles and Hannah threw them in the garbage all by herself. She was a little hesitant, but did it. This is the last bottle before she threw it away and went to bed. This was two nights ago. Last night, Hannah didn't even ask for a bottle, even though it is very much a part of her bedtime routine. Today, the garbage truck drove by, and Hannah said "bottle garbage." She has let go and we are very proud of her for the difficult accomplishment. Yea Hannah!

Grandma & Grandpa Powell Come to Visit

Hannah loves to play on the bed when we get it set up. She was absolutely thrilled to play with Grandma and Grandpa Powell for an entire week. Every morning Hannah would wake up and yell for one of them.
Hannah loves to wear her swim "soup" over her clothes. She thinks she looks so pretty and she loves to dance and play.
Hannah also loves to look at the pictures of herself in the camara. We can barely take her picture before she's asking to see it.

Bread Experiments

The biggest loaf.Yummy! Doesn't it look good? It is!
I've made lots of things with yeast, but this was my first attempt at homemade bread. I followed my friends directions very closely, but I shouldn't have let it rise as long as she had recommended. The bread ended up bursting out of the pans and the loaves were all sticking together in the oven. So, even though it looks hilarious, it tastes very yummy. I'm still proud of my bread, and bonus... I got a good laugh out of it too!

Sensational Babies

Hannah running around crazy and so focused that she could barely stop long enough for me to take a picture.

Today Hannah and I went to the Museum of the Rockies for their "Sensational Babies" program. It is a class for ages 2 and under all about discovering things that have to do with their senses. One of the activities was playing with small parachutes, putting balls in the middle, and rolling and bouncing them around. Hannah LOVED it. She likes balls and thoroughly enjoyed making them move around in a new way. We did a musical segment and got to play musical instruments. Hannah's favorite part was the free time and being able to run around like a crazy girl and not get told to stop. After the sensational babies activity we walked through the bat and dinosaur exhibits of the museum. Hannah had lots of fun in the bat caves.
